Lech, the owner of Calgary’s beloved coffee shop, The Roasterie, reached out to us with a simple goal: a website that truly reflected his business’s heart and soul. Since 1985, The Roasterie has been a go-to spot for amazing coffee, friendly service, and a strong sense of community. When the pandemic hit, they quickly pulled together a website to keep things going during lockdowns. But now, with time to focus, Lech wanted something polished—something that could support his business as it grows.

He wanted to make shopping online as easy as chatting with a barista. A place where customers could find great coffee, sign up for newsletters, and grab exclusive discounts. Plus, it had to handle Canada-wide shipping without any headaches.

We built a site that not only reflects The Roasterie’s rich tradition but also highlights its strong community ties. The result? A website that makes shopping seamless and enjoyable. With strong SEO strategies in place, sales shot up by 10% within just four days of launch. On top of that, a Shopify partnership got us a 40% discount on shipping with Canada Post, and free local delivery for orders over $100 encourages customers to load up on their favourite beans.

To make the experience even more personal, we added a fun quiz to help customers discover their coffee-tasting palette. It’s a great way to show customers you care about getting them exactly what they need. Plus, it’s a goldmine for gathering insights into what your audience loves, so you can keep giving them more of it.

To keep things fresh and engaging, we collaborated with a talented local photographer and videographer to create beautiful product photos and scroll-stopping social media content. We also added blog posts to key product pages, sharing behind-the-scenes stories about the roasting process. Not only does this give customers a deeper connection to the coffee they’re buying, but it also keeps them on the site longer—a win for both engagement and SEO.

Lech’s new website is more than just a place to shop—it’s an extension of The Roasterie’s story, blending tradition with modern convenience in a way that keeps people coming back for more.
